Who was Aristotle?

Aristotle, in Greek, said as – Aristotélēs was a great Greek philosopher and a polymath. He was from the Great classical period and of Ancient Greece. He was the founder of the Peripatetic school of philosophy, called Lyceum. His base of knowledge was as vast as the universe.

He covered so many subjects in his writings like physics, biology, zoology, metaphysics, logic, ethics, aesthetics, poetry, theatre, music, rhetoric, psychology, linguistics, economics, politics, and government. His philosophy and writings are still discussed and be a part of every discussion. His knowledge and philosophy exerted a tremendous and unique influence on every form.

Life of Aristotle:

Aristotle’s life isn’t as clear. The details aren’t well established. With his name comes the meaning “The best purpose.” The historians only agree on some main points since the biographies were written in ancient times.
He was born in 384 BC in Stagira Calcidice. His father’s name was ‘Nicomachus,’ and he was a physician. He also worked as a personal physician for the King Amyntas of Macedon. Both of his parents died when he was very young, only 13. There’s only a little information about Aristotle’s childhood present.

When Aristotle was 17 or 18, he moved to Athens. He stayed there for 20 years to continue his education.

Influence:

Aristotle is known to be one of the greatest philosophers of that era. Even after 2300 years after his death, he remains one of the most influential people globally. He was the kind of philosopher who contributed to every field of human knowledge of that time and was the founder of many areas. Even according to many philosophers, he was the kind of person who knew more than any other individual. Amongst the main contributions of his life, he has given the “Formal logic,” which is a much known mathematical logic.
