Who was Confucius?

Confucius, The name Originally Latinized from the word Kǒng Fūzǐ (Master Kǒng); is believed to be born on September 28, of 551 (BC), in Zou. Confucius was a great and highly respected Chinese philosopher. He also stood as a politician in his life, for the Spring and Autumn period ( Approximately from 771to 476 BC ).

Early Life :

Confucius is believed to be born on September 28 of 551 BC. He was born in, Zou, was known to be controlled by the Kings of Zhou and effectively to be independently running under Lu’s local lords. Confucius’s father, named – Kong He, was believed to be the commandant of the Lu. His father died early, only when Confucius was three years old. He had to be brought up by his mother, named – Yan Zhengzai.

He grew up in extreme poverty. His mother, too, later died even before the age of 40. When Confucius was 19, he married a girl named – Qiguan. They had two daughters, and one of them is believed couldn’t make her life past early childhood. Confucius worked many jobs during his 20s that included government jobs, bookkeeping, caretaking, just all of this to give his mother a proper burial when she died. He was 23 when his mother died, and as their tradition, he mourned for three years for her.

Philosophy :

Amongst the Chinese, Confucianism (The philosophy of Confucius) is often followed widely in an ethical manner. It is believed that its values are more secular than religious, and in fact, that is. However, it is still based on the comprehensive view of it being spiritual. Confucianism is the concept of understanding and telling the elements such as the afterlife, Heaven and all, but it still leaves out essential items such as the nature of the souls. Confucius believed in astrology; he said Heaven sends its signals if evil or right, and wise men have to act accordingly.
