Who was Henry Ford?
Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863, in Michigan, US. Ford was an industrialist and a worldwide much-recognized businessman. Career :
It was 1891 when Ford had become an engineer while working under and with the Edison Illuminating Company of Detroit. In 1893 he was promoted as the chief engineer and decided that he finally had much time to devote to his interests. He wanted to experiment with the gasoline engines. By 1896, he had completed and made his self propelled vehicle that he named Ford Quadricycle. After this, he met Thomas Edison, one of the executives of the Edison Company. They approved and appreciated his work and made him build his second vehicle.
Ford had met one of his old acquaintance named Alexander Y. Malcomson. Both of them decided to start their own automobile company. Ford and Malcomson had finally incorporated their company named Ford Motor Company in the year 1903 in June. He designed a new car that drove for 1.6 Km in 39.4 seconds. Ford also became one of the early backer’s companies of the Indianapolis 500.
