Early Life:

Martin Luther King was born Michael King, Jr. In Atlanta, Georgia. He was the second of the three children to Reverend Michael King Sr., his father and Alberta King, his mother. His name Michael was given to him by his mother. His father had left home when he was younger to move to Atlanta to attain a high school education.
