Who is Lionel Messi ?

Lionel Messi, full name – Lionel Andrés Messi Cuccittini, was born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina. Widely recognized by his name, Messi is an Argentine, one of the world’s best football players. He plays as a forward and captains both for the Spanish club Barcelona and the “Argentina national team.” He has won a record of winning six Ballon d’Or awards, and a record six European Golden Shoes. Lionel Messi, full name – Lionel Andrés Messi Cuccittini, was born on June 24, 1987, in Rosario, Argentina. He was the third child out of the four of his parents. His father’s name was Jorge Messi, who used to work as a manager in a steel factory. His mother, Celia Cuccittini, was working in a magnet manufacturing workshop. He is an Italian and Spanish descendant from his father’s side and primarily Italian from his mother’s. His grandparents were the Immigrants from northcentral Italy.

Messi belonged to a very football-loving family. His interest in sports began at a very early age. He used to play football with his brothers and cousins since childhood, and in fact, both of his cousins also became great football players after growing up. His most significant influence as a football player came from his maternal grandmother, who used to play matches and do training with him. When he was four years old, he joined a local football club where his father used to coach him. Messi loved her grandmother and was greatly influenced and inspired by her.
