John Carpenter’s “Big Trouble In Little China” is a 1986 American fictional martial arts comedy film starring Kurt Russell, Kim Cattrall, Dennis Dun, and James Hong and produced by Larry J. Franco. The Plot:

The storyline is set around in the 80s, where Jack Burton, a truck driver, enters a little city to transmit some shipments and earn some money big-time while playing cards with the townies living nearby the Chinese market. Killing the pockets of almost all of his rivals, his playmate Wang chances him with a game of “double or nothing” to attempt at regaining his lost money but, on the contrary, ends up losing. Now the winner Jack wants his money, but Wang only clarifies how he can’t pay him at the time, and that he’ll give him the money later since he was scheduled to pick up his girlfriend from the airport, who he hasn’t seen in years. Jack insists that he’d drive Wang to the airport in order not to lose track of him.

When they reach the airport, they end up realizing that Wang’s ladylove has been seized by the Lords of Death, a Roadie Chinatown Squad, the bad guys of the film. They later discover the reason behind the kidnapping of Wang’s girl, which was that she’s necessary for a forthcoming agenda to restore a thousand-year-old Chinese wizard and draw him back to the real world as a mortal again. Here commences a courageous and heroic journey to salvage Wang’s ladylove and end the merciless agenda that’s popping down in that Chinatown. Allying with very distinct individuals, Jack and Wang indulge in this mission of excavating a conspiracy wherein nothing is as it seems to be. What new adventures seek the great duo on this journey in pursuit of saving a girl’s life? Well, that’s the mystery to be unveiled while staying tuned till the end of the film!

Jack Burton-

He’s a trucker and a very ordinary man, yet the protagonist of the film. He calls his truck by a name “The Porkchop Express,” which shows his love and attachment towards even a non-living truck. He is that type of character who steals audiences’ hearts because of how relatable they found him. The irony is how he sees himself as the protagonist also, which is why he’s always fueled to do something to look more generous of a person. He also has quite a charismatic personality, and Kurt Russell portraying the character as the cherry on top since he enhanced the qualities of the character.
