Who is Jack Ma?

Jack Ma, who’s also known as Ma Yun, is a Chinese businessman, a politician, and an investor. He was born on September 10, 1964, in Zhejiang, China. Jack Ma is the co-founder of a well known multinational technology Alibaba group, a group of so many Businesses. He is a strong supporter of Open market-driven economy.

Jack Ma was born on September 10, 1964, in China. Being born in China and having Chinese as his First language, Jack Ma was fond of the English language as well. From a young age, only he started learning the English language. He started by conversing with the English-speakers at Hangzhou International Hotel. He also used to travel on his bicycle to give tours to the tourists of some areas, so that he would converse in English with them and get to know about the language more. One of the tourists who had a hard time pronouncing his name nicknamed him “Jack,” and they even became pen pals after that for a long time.

Ma had difficult times during his school and college life. He attended Hangzhou Teacher’s Institute that, too, after three years of continuously appearing for the entrance exam, as it was held only once a year. Later in 1988, Ma graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in English. He started teaching as a lecturer at Hangzhou Dianzi University.
