Who Was Walt Disney?
Walt Disney, full name – Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901, in Chicago, US. Walt was an American voice actor, animator, writer and film producer. He was a worldwide known animator for bringing more and several developments in the American animation industry. Disney holds numerous awards and Oscars in history. Several films by Disney was also recorded in the National Film Registry and Library of Congress.
The early life of Walt Disney :
Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901, in Chicago, US. His father’s name was Elias Disney, and his mother’s name was Flora. They were Irish, and Walt was their fourth son of the five. When he was four, the family moved to Marceline, Missouri. While in Missouri, Disney started developing his interest in drawing when he was asked to bring his neighbour’s horse. His father was a subscriber of the daily newspaper from which Disney used to illustrate the cartoons for his own.
Early Career :
During the early struggling days of work, Disney used to produce commercials with the help of cut animation technique. He got interested in animation since then. With the help of an animation book and camera, he began experimenting. He later opened a new business with one of his co-workers named Laugh-O-grams, which produced short cartoons.
Disney came to Hollywood in 1923. The cartoon industry was mainly the centre of New York, but he wanted to go, Los Angeles, because his brother was fighting with Tuberculosis there.
